Teens and Adults clinic

This clinic is for patients over the age of 13. You might be seen in this clinic if:

  • We are planning an operation.
  • You / your child has recently had an operation.
  • You have requested an appointment because you have some queries/concerns.

We also routinely review patients in this clinic at around 17 years of age.

What to expect

If you have requested this appointment, we will ask about your concerns or questions.

If this is a routine review, the surgeon will have a look in your/ your child’s mouth.

The speech and language therapist will often have a chat with you / your child in order to listen to speech clarity. As part of this, they may request that you / your child repeat some sentences or count.

Sometimes we have visitors in this clinic, often people who are learning about what our team does. If there are too many people in the room, please do not hesitate to request that only essential clinicians are present.
