This clinic is for children around the age of 18-20 months and provides an opportunity to discuss various aspects of your child’s general development so far.
Often you will be sent a questionnaire along with your appointment letter. Please complete this and bring this with you to your appointment. It can also be helpful to note down any questions you might have for the team before you come.
What to expect
This is an informal session which typically lasts approximately 45 minutes. There will be toys available for your child to play with and explore.
We will engage with your child and ask about their strengths and needs. We hope to be able to provide hints and tips for further encouraging your child’s development and skills.
You can ask any questions you have throughout the appointment.
For some children, we may offer further sessions to be able to get to know your child better and allow them to demonstrate their skills. For others, we offer small group sessions where we demonstrate more ideas for modelling speech sounds to your child in an age-appropriate way.
