Refurbished Hunterian Museum Re-opens at the Royal College of Surgeons of England

The Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons of England re-opened to much fanfare this month! We are hugely excited that cleft surgery features prominently in this terrific exhibition with a current Spires patient, Jamie Trussell, appearing centre stage!

Jamie and his parents are pictured with Marc Swan (who operated on Jamie’s bilateral cleft lip and palate and is the Clinical Director of the Spires Cleft Service), Tim Goodacre (retired Spires Cleft Surgeon and current Vice-President of the Royal College of Surgeons of England) and Brian Sommerlad (whose eponymous mouth gag is proudly on display in the exhibit).

The exhibition is freely open to the public and is highly recommended – so please pay the College a visit when you’re next in the vicinity of Lincoln’s Inn Fields, Holborn, London: https://hunterianmuseum.org/
