The European Cleft Palate & Craniofacial Association Conference is held every three years and is hosted by a European cleft unit.
In June 2024 a small but intrepid group from Spires attended the ECPCA conference in Milan, Italy.
Nefer, Mary, Jenny and Matt were able to learn about cleft care, treatment approaches and techniques from across the world.
The Spires team presented three research projects that were carried out in Oxford, Salisbury and Melbourne, Australia. All were extremely well received and generated plenty of discussion and debate.
Our contingent enjoyed contributing to stimulating discussions regarding global variations in cleft care.
Beyond the conference they took the opportunity for team bonding, networking and a little sightseeing – including a performance at La Scala!
