We know that many of our patients here at Spires find it difficult to access dental care on the NHS; this is especially true in some areas, and for adults more so than those aged under 18. We also know how important it is for you to get your teeth checked regularly and for us to be able to work with your general dentist to ensure the best and most accessible care to keep your mouths healthy.
Patients born with a cleft have specific dental needs that are lifelong. CLAPA are spearheading a national campaign to raise awareness of this lack of access to routine dental care, with the aim to improve access for all patients born with a cleft, for life.
