I trained as a children’s nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital after which I quickly became interested in children affected by cleft. I have now been a clinical nurse specialist with the Spires Cleft Centre team for more than 20 years.
I have a particular interest and specialist knowledge in the use of fetal MRI to definitively diagnosis cleft palate in association with an ultrasound diagnosis of cleft lip.
I have a passion for supporting children with clefts in the developing world and have an ongoing involvement offering support with infant feeding and paediatric post-operative care at a hospital in Kampala that looks after children born with clefts from across Uganda.
