I am a speech and language therapist (SLT) and have worked with the Spires Cleft Centre team in Salisbury since 2002.
I have worked as a speech and language therapist since 1989 and, before moving to Salisbury, enjoyed working with children and adults with learning disabilities. In 2013 I gained a Clinical Practice Doctorate from the University of Southampton and I also have postgraduate qualifications in cleft palate speech and management and leadership.
I am a member of the national forum for Lead SLTs in cleft, which monitors and develops the work of specialist cleft SLTs across the UK. I am involved in several cleft research studies and am particularly interested in developing treatments for nasal speech, including speech prosthetics and the use of biofeedback.
