I joined the Spires Cleft Centre in 2025 after various roles including that of a Nursery Manager as well as a Care Coordination Supervisor & Safeguarding Leader within a busy General Practice in Devon. I completed my degree in Childhood Studies and Education at the University of Chichester in 2020. My previous experiences have stood me in good stead to fulfil my role as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant for the Spires Team based in Salisbury.
Being a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant involves liaising with clinicians to help improve patient experience, preparing clinics, updating patient records, communicating with patients and their families and much more! I have found it invaluable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and learning about cleft provision in the UK.
