Tash Ross

I have had a varied career since leaving Bournemouth University in 2002 with a BSc degree in Applied Psychology and Computing. I worked in several administrative roles and was an ad copy controller for publishing companies in Bournemouth and London for a few years. I became interested in speech & language therapy and decided to retrain, qualifying with a BSc degree from the University of Reading in 2014.

I then worked as an adult speech & language therapist in acute hospitals across Dorset and Hampshire, working predominantly in stroke services. Having had my daughter, I have become increasingly interested in children’s speech and language development and how we can best support children to become confident communicators whilst making it fun and engaging.

Having recently joined the Spires cleft team in a trainee role, I am excited to develop my skills – particularly in speech assessment and phonetic transcription. I’m also looking forward to building relationships with patients and their families as this has always been something that I really enjoy.
